Stud Boogie has been DJing for more than 15 years. The Long Island, NY native has currently made Charlotte, NC, his second home. Music is his passion and what most say, he was born to do! While attending Tuskegee University in the mid 90’s, Stud was a disc jockey for the school’s radio station, WTEC and Club Atmosphere. During the late 90’s and early 2000’s Stud played at many clubs around New York including: Planet Malibu, Wik Lounge, Kilimanjaro, and the grand opening of Dubies Palace alongside DJ Clue.
Stud Boogie has built a reputation for having a keen ear for selecting and arranging the best music. From hardcore hip hop mix tape releases ‘Top Shottaz’ to the super sexy and smooth r&b classic ‘The Mack’. His latest mix tape was the spectacular, hip hop and r&b double CD, ‘The Mack Returns Countin' Paper’. People just couldn't get enough and after a five year hiatus away from the game, it solidified that Stud Boogie is a force to be reckoned with! He came back with a vengeance, proving to all that he is not only an extraordinary DJ but is adding phenomenal record producer and songwriter to his repertoire.
He is currently working on his collaboration album, 'Stud Boogie Presents The Civil Union: North Meet South’. This album will showcase the styles and relevance of the evolving era of hip hop. Hip Hop comes in different flavors and shades. This album proves it's not where you're from, but how much swagger you own! Stud Boogie has teamed up with a sensational line up of artists that will be featured on his album including, Long Island's own The League, hailing from the Queen City, Charlotte, NC, $OUF, Ronell Mac, Brooklyn's own, 2 The Hard Way, and more.
